Welcome and Information Center News:

In partnership with NH Fish and Game, the Forever Locked Moose exhibit is on display at the Springfield Rest Area from now until April 2013. The life-size taxidermy exhibit depicts two adult bull moose with permanently locked antlers.  On October 9, 2003, New London resident Ray Deragon discovered the remains of the moose in nearby Gile State Forest. He contacted Conservation Officer John Wimsatt who inspected the scene and the two developed the project after an extensive fundraising campaign and countless hours of volunteer work. More information can be found at http://www.foreverlockedmoose.com.
