Whaleback Mountain
Whaleback has been a New England family snow sports tradition since 1955. In the winter, Whaleback offers great skiing and riding at an affordable price. Whaleback also offers camps, lessons, and programs for kids, a full rental shop, a cozy lodge with free wifi, a great pub, night skiing and riding, and a friendly atmosphere for all skiers and riders. Port of Portsmouth Maritime Museum
An opportunity to explore A U.S. Navy Submarine and Museum. During our self guided audio tour you will see how a crew of 55 men worked and lived aboard a 205' by 27' submarine. You will learn about Albacore's 19 years of unusual and facinating service as an experimental boat. You will also have a chance to remember all United States Submariners as you walk through Albacore Park-a memorial to all who served in the submarine service.

Urban Forestry Center
The Urban Forestry Center features several gardens, walking trails, tree identification trail, salt marsh, and other educational displays. The office is open M-F 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Public welcome on the grounds seven days a week 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Restrooms available. Leashed pets are welcome.

William Damm Garrison House
Original 1675 Garrison house once located in the Back River section of Dover, N.H. and moved in 1915 to the Woodman Institute Museum four building Complex. The garrison displays over 800 colonial artifacts. Open as part of the museum tour. Admission required.

Flume Gorge
Natural granite gorge extending 800 feet at the base of Mount Liberty. Up to two miles self-guided nature walk, stairs, uphill and downhill walking. Walk includes covered bridges, waterfalls, mountain views and wild flowers. Shuttle bus available in summer.
