There are so many choices when it comes to designing your cake. Here are some tips to help make the process fun and easy. 

• Ask your reception site for vendor recommendations
• Meet with your baker/cake decorator to go over samples of their work and taste flavor options
• Cut out pictures of cakes or design ideas to bring with you
• Most cakes are sold by the slice. The cost per slice can be as much as $3 or more
• Ask your bakery if they deliver and set up the cake and if there is an extra fee for this service
• Consider ordering a smaller wedding cake with additional sheet cake(s) as a way to cut costs
