Milford, NH - New Hampshire Antique Co-op is pleased to announce its upcoming exhibit, In Full Bloom: Floral Still Life & Garden Paintings from the 19th c. to Present, featuring works from renowned artists of the late 1800s to the present. As New England eagerly anticipates spring and summer, In Full Bloom captures these seasons through bright, airy paintings of flourishing flowers, great gardens and lush landscapes. The exhibit will be on display from March 24 to August 31, 2023, in the fine art gallery located at 323 Elm Street in Milford, NH.
The exhibit showcases a collection of floral and garden paintings from artists including Emil Carlsen, Dines Carlsen, Benjamin Champney, Adelheid Dietrich, William de Leftwich Dodge, Andre Gisson, Francis Coates Jones, Hayley Lever, Hermann Dudley Murphy, Laura Van Pappelendam, Max Weyl, and more. Also included are works by contemporary New England artists Stephen Motyka and Carol Robey. Each artist's unique style and technique are highlighted in the pieces, which vary in size and medium.
To celebrate the first weekend of spring and the opening of the exhibit, New Hampshire Antique Co-op is hosting a garden party style reception on Sunday, March 26, 2023, from 1-3 p.m. in the Upstairs Gallery. The reception will feature champagne and lemonade, watercress and cucumber sandwiches, and other festive fare for guests to enjoy while viewing the artwork and mingling with other art enthusiasts.
“We are excited to not only showcase this stunning collection of floral still life paintings, but also to provide a delightful garden party reception for our visitors,” said New Hampshire Antique Co-op's co-owner Jason Hackler. “We hope that the combination of the beautiful artwork and the lovely refreshments will create an enjoyable experience for all our guests.”
New Hampshire Antique Co-op is open Tuesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Now celebrating 40 years, New Hampshire Antique Co-op is a destination shop for fine art, period furniture, porcelain, silver, collectibles, jewelry and more. It is one of the largest group antique shops in the state and was established in 1983 by the Hackler family.
