5 Ways to Stay Entertained on the Seacoast

Just because the sun sets doesn’t mean the fun stops on NH’s Seacoast. Fireworks, outdoor movies and live performances are a few ways to stay entertained after hours.

Evening Entertainment in the Summer

After a day splashing around New Hampshire’s seacoast, where to next? Why not catch a show at a local theatre followed by some trendy craft cocktails? Or maybe a concert at the beach with a fireworks display? You decide! Here are a few options to keep in mind as you plan your trip:

Hampton Beach Fireworks Kicking off Memorial Weekend, Hampton Beach lights up the night with a spectacular fireworks display every Wednesday at 9:30 p.m. Spend the afternoon exploring nearby Hampton before you settle at the beach with a cozy blanket spread on the soft sands. Enjoy the brilliant show with the soothing sound of waves crashing as the soundtrack to it all.

Movies in Prescott Park The infamous movies screened at Prescott Park have been a fan-favorite for years. Blockbuster films are projected on the big screen and the public is invited to watch on Monday nights all summer long! So grab your friends or family, pack up your picnic, and be there by dusk!

Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom There’s nothing that quite completes a summer night like a live concert on the strip! Check out Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom’s summer calendar and pick out a show to attend. With an intimate venue setting, you’ll have no problem feeling one with the crowd and are sure to have an unforgettable experience. Plus, if your show ends early enough, you might just catch some of those famous Hampton fireworks!

The Music Hall Between the Historic Theater and The Music Hall Loft, you will not have a problem finding a thought-provoking film to discuss with your friends over cocktails, or a soulful live performance to move and groove to.

Seacoast Repertory Theater This year's Seacoast Repertory Theater theme of “2022 - Celebration!” promises to bring an explosion of theatrical arts that is sure to delight everyone. From May 5 – June 4 check out Our Town, followed by Anything Goes from June 16 – July 23 and finally Rent takes the stage from July 28 – September 10.

No show’s complete without a drink and a nice dinner (or at least a little nibble). Luckily the Seacoast has some of the finest food and drink the state has to offer. But don’t take our word for it. Read all about it over at National Geographic. And here are Trip Advisor’s Top Restaurant Picks in Portsmouth.
