Ready to hit the slopes under the lights? Here are 6 ski spots that stay open late for skiing and riding under the stars.

Just because the sun goes down doesn’t mean you have to put away your skis or snowboards for the night.  There are a number of ski resorts around the Granite State that offer evening hours, which means plenty of options for staying slopeside under the stars. The crisp winter air, combined with the peacefulness of a nighttime landscape provides a unique way to embrace the winter season.


Cranmore Mountain Resort, North Conway

Nestled in America's #1 Ski Town, Cranmore Mountain Resort provides an exciting twilight skiing and snowboarding experience throughout wintertime. The resort offers a mix of beginner and beginner-intermediate trails, along with a terrain park for those looking to test their skills after the sun goes down. Enjoy Cranmore’s slopes under the stars Wednesdays and Saturdays, as well as daily during holiday and vacation weeks. Add to your evening adventure with some time at the tubing hill.


Crotched Mountain Resort, Bennington

Midnight Madness returns this winter at Crotched Mountain, offering an unforgettable night skiing experience. As a signature event, Midnight Madness means you can hit the slopes until 12 AM on five select dates this season. The event includes special giveaways, $10 rentals, hundreds of glow items, and a DJ to keep the energy high. Can’t make it to Midnight Madness? Crotched Mountain also offers night skiing Tuesday through Saturday until 9 PM, so there’s plenty of opportunities to enjoy the slopes after dark all season long.

 

Gunstock Mountain Resort, Gilford

Whether you're seeking peaceful night runs or adrenaline-pumping park sessions, Gunstock Mountain Resort offers an exciting winter experience after dark. Home to one of the Northeast’s largest lighted terrain parks, Blundersmoke, the resort provides a thrilling challenge for freestyle skiers and snowboarders. Night skiing and riding begins at 3 PM, so consider heading to the summit for breathtaking views the first hour of your evening adventure. For even more fun, Gunstock’s illuminated tubing hill offers an additional way to enjoy the mountain at night.

 

King Pine, Madison

King Pine offers twilight skiing and riding every day from 3:30 to 6 PM, giving guests plenty of time to enjoy the slopes as the day fades into night. For those seeking even more evening fun, the resort extends its hours on Tuesday nights, staying open until 8 PM. For another snow-fueled adventure, plan some time at their tubing hill. Whether you're looking for a peaceful sunset ride or an extended session on the trails, King Pine provides the perfect setting for a memorable winter adventure after dark.

 

McIntyre Ski Area, Manchester

Southern New Hampshire’s gateway to winter adventure, McIntyre Ski Area, keeps you slopeside well after the sun goes down. This cozy ski destination, with its welcoming atmosphere, provides a perfect spot for both beginners and seasoned skiers to experience winter fun long into the evening. McIntyre also features a tubing hill, it’s a great way to switch things up for a thrilling ride down the hill.


 

Pats Peak, Henniker
