Explore New Hampshire Indoors in Winter

No matter how high or low the temps may go, or just how white our New Hampshire winter wonderland gets, there’s plenty of fun inside across the state to keep everyone happy all season long. So, let the memory making commence!

Children's Museum of New Hampshire, Dover
Head to the seacoast for a visit to New Hampshire’s most visited educational and cultural institution! The one-of-a-kind, hands-on exhibits are specially curated to engage not only the kids, but the whole family.

Fun Spot, Weirs Beach
Impress the family with a visit to Funspot, the largest arcade in the world! With three floors, over 600 games, bowling, indoor mini golf, cash bingo, a tavern, and even a trove of vintage classic arcade games—there’s truly something for everyone.

Hood Museum of Art, Hanover
The Hood Museum of Art at Dartmouth College welcomes visitors to special exhibitions, lectures and family days. Dartmouth's collections are among the oldest and largest of any college or university in the country, featuring over 65,000 works of art and artifacts.

Living Shores Aquarium, Bartlett
There’s a whole lot of indoor fun awaiting you at Living Shores Aquarium. Get up close to ocean life at the touch tanks – home to sting rays, sharks, sea urchins and snails; dig in the digital sandbox; see the tropical birds in the walkthrough aviary and much more.

Mariposa Museum & World Culture Center, Peterborough
Step inside the historic Baptist Church in Peterborough and explore this hands-on museum. The collection of artifacts highlights the diversity and dynamics of different cultures from around the world.

McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center, Concord
Discover New England’s own air and space museum, dedicated to New Hampshire space pioneers Christa McAuliffe and Alan Shepard, featuring hands-on exhibits on aviation, astronomy, Earth and space science.

Moffet House Museum and Genealogy Center, Berlin
Located in one of Berlin’s historic neighborhoods, this museum offers a glimpse into the city’s past through a collection of artifacts, advertisements, photographs, Boy Scout and military memorabilia. For those looking to trace their family tree, the Genealogy Center contains the largest library of archives north of Manchester.

New England Ski Museum, Franconia & North Conway
Taking a day off the slopes but still got skiing on the mind? Head indoors to the New England Ski Museum. Despite its small size, this museum is big in variety of exhibits like Tuckerman’s Ravine, the 10th Mountain Division, local ski legends, old skis and equipment, clothing and much more.

Seacoast Science Center, Rye
Underwater and ocean enthusiasts will be thrilled with a visit to the Seacoast Science Center, located on the rocky coast in historic Odiorne Point State Park. View live animals of the Gulf of Maine, explore indoor touch tanks, and tour hands-on exhibits about life in and around the ocean.

SkyVenture, Nashua
Take your spirit of adventure inside and experience the feeling of flight! SkyVenture is an indoor skydiving facility that also offers an indoor surfing experience (the largest indoor surfing spot in North America), along with boogie boarding and rock climbing too!

Skyzone, Manchester
Wall-to-wall trampolines and Ultimate Dodge Ball? Flying into a Foam Zone and getting enough air to dunk a basketball? Yep. You can stay warm (and fly high!) this season with Skyzone!

The Caterpillar Lab, Marlborough
Stop by the Caterpillar Lab this winter and learn about the diversity of Northeastern caterpillars. Free open hours are offered on Saturdays to check out their cool native and non-native insects and ask questions of their expert staff.
